The 1-day Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher course is for those who have already passed the full 2-day Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course within the last five years and can provide proof of attendance.

The SSSTS Refresher course aims to bring the delegate's health and safety knowledge up to date, as well as giving a thorough overview of the legislative changes and their impact in the workplace.

Only those delegates who have passed the two-day Site Supervisor Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) course and can provide evidence of this are eligible to attend the one-day refresher course. Delegates must have passed the full SSSTS within five years of their refresher course to be eligible.

Site Management SMSTS Course Tutors

Our SSSTS Refresher course tutors are qualified and experienced health and safety professionals with an appropriate background in construction site health and safety.

All tutors hold professional membership of the chartered Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and are registered CITB construction skills trainers.




Frequently Asked Questions

At the conclusion of the SSSTS Refresher course, delegates are required to undertake a short multiple choice assessment. Those who successfully complete the assessment are awarded the CITB Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) Refresher Certificate.

Each delegate will be issued with a SSSTS Refresher textbook and materials to take away and keep, which will assist them both during and after the course and will contain information, guidance and forms to assist site supervisors. The course is designed to be interactive, allowing delegates the opportunity to develop their skills with the support of the course tutor.

CITB Health and Safety Awareness Course

This course is for those who have entered, or are about to enter, the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce to help them understand the potential hazards that they face at work on site. It aims to provide a practical summary of health and safety, welfare and environmental health and safety issues.

The course also allows delegates to identify their individual responsibilities for looking after themselves and others, what the employer's duties are and what should be done if they think anyone's health and safety is being put at risk.
