Working in Confined Spaces Online Course
A confined space can be a particularly dangerous environment to work in. A lack of ventilation can lead to the build-up of toxic and/or explosive gases, whilst the confined space itself can make it difficult to manoeuvre about, making it difficult to evacuate quickly if there was a fire for example. The confined space can also make rescue efforts difficult should an emergency situation arise.
This online course will cover the legislation associated with working in confined spaces, what constitutes a confined space, the potential hazards, safe operating procedures, emergency procedures and rescue.
Important note: This is an awareness course only, designed for people who need to be aware of the hazards and risks of confined. If you are required to perform any work activity in, or in the proximity of, a confined space, then you will also need to have an approved standard of practical training at the appropriate level.
There are multiple choice questions at the end of each unit. Those who successfully achieve the minimum mark required to pass these assessments are rewarded with a printable certificate.
An e-learning course is ideal for those who cannot get time away from the workplace and do not require a tailored course which deals with specific risks. If you do, then an open course or bespoke/in-house course will be much more suitable for your requirements.

- Module 4: Communication, Emergencies and Paperwork
