Legionella Health and Safety

Legionellosis diseases caused by bacteria can in certain cases be fatal, meaning prevention is essential. Found naturally in low numbers, when the bacteria find conditions in which to multiply such as in cooling towers, evaporative condensers, hot and cold water systems and spa pools, the concentration can become a danger to health.

This online health and safety training course explains the background to Legionella and Legionnaires' Disease, the potential risks associated with water systems and how these can be prevented or controlled.

Manual Handling

Manual handling risks are not just confined to the lifting of heavy items. The manipulation of any load and of any weight can cause injury if not performed correctly. Aside from lifting, this also includes pushing, pulling, stretching, twisting actions and more, and can cause debilitating injuries requiring costly and disruptive time away from the workplace.

This manual handling e-learning course will cover issues such as describing what manual handling is, manual handling regulations, practical manual handling solutions and the use of mechanical aids to provide assistance.


Working at Height
